Reliabilt 5600 Survivor vinyl replacement windows

See, hubby and I have three kids who have, of their own accord, decided to become adolescents, sometimes to our chagrin. This past summer, we planned a family vacation. Alas, our oldest couldn’t go because he had to stay home to work. He’s 17 and all about flexing his independence muscles, so we said, “Fine. Just follow the rules.” However, there was a small problem. We forgot to tell him that our home unfortunately has an “exceeds capacity” limit. Now, he knows that he’s perfectly fine to have 10 or 15 friends over, as long as he cleans up after everybody and doesn’t have the police coming in telling us to “turn it down.” But we didn’t realize that “a few friends” meant crowd that was just slightly smaller than one you could fit into the Astrodome. Well, we learned our lesson.

Bill walked in with tape measure in hand, took a glance at our broken windows, and just smiled a slightly crooked smile. (For your information, he’s got four kids, two of them adolescents, so he knows just what this is like.) He kept that little smile to himself while he measured our windows, and occasionally let out a little chuckle. I just thought he was having a little amusement at our expense, but pretty soon he turned to me and said, “I know you want to kill Jeff right now, but actually, you should be giving that boy a huge bear hug. He did you favor, actually.” He left, and in a little while he came back with something that has been truly amazing for us. In short, he brought us two brand new Reliabilt 5600 Survivor vinyl replacement windows.

In short order, Bill installed our new Reliabilt windows, and they have been amazing. More than windows, they’re actually glass systems with double glazed construction. Their airtight, watertight construction means that not only do we not have leaky windows or drafts anymore, but our energy bills have gone way down. They’re also equipped with a secure locking system. However, one of the greatest things about these Reliabilt 5600 Survivor vinyl replacement windows is that they come with a warranty that just can’t be beat. What is it? Basically, those Reliabilt windows are guaranteed for as long as I own my home.  Now, you might wonder what I did next. Well, I took Bill’s advice and gave ol’ jolly Jeff that great big bear hug. Then I had Bill install Reliabilt 5600 Survivor vinyl replacement windows throughout the rest of my home. And as you might guess, Bill thanked Jeff, too.

Sometimes things that seem stressful and even nerve wracking can actually be beneficial.  Case in point,  a recent “catastrophe” that actually turned in our favor when it introduced us to Reliabilt 5600 Survivor vinyl replacement windows.

If you’re a parent, you know as well as I do that adolescents can be a little, uh, energetic. That plus the strive for independence can make things interesting sometimes. Case in point: this past summer, we had a family vacation planned. Our oldest couldn’t go because he had to stay home to work. (Good, responsible lad, we say. Skips vacation because he has to stay home to work. Uh-huh.) Anyway, Chad is 17 and plenty capable of staying home by himself, even if his judgment is less than stellar sometimes. So his dad and I said, “Fine. Just follow the rules.” However, we forgot one thing. We forgot to tell him that our little house can’t hold a crowd the size of Wembley Stadium at capacity. And while Chad knows that he’s perfectly fine having 10 or 15 friends over as long as he cleans up after everyone and doesn’t have the police on our front doorstep to ask about the noise violation, he apparently forgot that “a few friends” meant just that. A few. Needless to say, we learned our lesson.
